Podcasting has been around for years. Whether you are a thriving business owner, or a budding entrepreneur, you should subscribe to at least one (or all!) of these amazing podcasts. We rounded up a list of podcasts for every area of your business life.
But first! A little bit of history…
“A podcast is a form of digital media that consists of an episodic series of audio, video, digital radio, PDF, or ePub files subscribed to and downloaded through web syndication or streamed online to a computer or mobile device.” – Wikipedia.
Simply put, a podcast is like a radio program where listeners can tune into their favorite shows at their convenience and listen directly on any device that can play audio files.
The word podcast came from the combination of words – iPOD and broadCAST, and the term “podcasting” was first mentioned on a February 2004 article in The Guardian newspaper. Podcasting, which was once an obscure method of spreading information, now has become a known medium for distributing audio content.
If you think you don’t have the time to listen to podcasts – think again! Any down time you have is a great opportunity to listen to podcasts – while you’re in the car driving to work, on the bus, at the gym, going for a walk or just having your “ME” time. I listen to a podcast from the web via a podcast player on the host’s website, or via Soundcloud when I work, usually when I’m doing some research.
